Using small currency units when travelling

I think Ecuador, Panama and El Salvador (country next to Guatemala and Honduras) uses American dollars. Use 1 dollar bills, being that 20 dollar there is like 100 dollars here. For example Andy Graham has 400 units of 1 dollars travelling. Source Change is a huge problem, try to minimize it, using the correct size of currency.
